MEET BRIDGETTEBridgette Madden Mendoza, Principal Designer & Founder
Bridgette founded BMD on a simple but deeply held belief: that a well-designed space has the power to change the way you live. Her eye for design was evident from childhood- at age eight, she spent hours rearranging furniture with her grandmother, gathering artifacts from around the house and curating a space that felt entirely her own. That is when the love began.
Saying she loves design would be an understatement. She lives and breathes it every day, everywhere she goes, and in everything she does. Before transitioning into interior design, Bridgette began her career as a high school teacher in Northern California, a background that shaped the way she listens, collaborates, and connects with the people she works with. With over a decade of experience in the field, that range of experience has allowed her to become uniquely diverse in her approach, and it informs everything BMD does today.
Bridgette approaches every project as a collaboration, taking the time to understand not just the aesthetic goals of a space, but the lifestyle and personality of the people within it. Life starts in the home, and when you walk through your door, you should feel immediately connected to it as though it is a direct reflection of who you are.
