There is a quiet moment at the start of every project- before the permits, before the blueprints, before a single decision has been made where a client sits across from a designer and says, I know what I want, I just don't know how to get there. That moment is everything.

Interior designers are the leaders of the construction process, though the industry has not always framed it that way. Because design, at its core, is not about furniture or finishes. It is about helping someone realize a vision they can feel but cannot yet articulate. It is about listening deeply, seeing clearly, and then leading with intention. That is not so different from what a great coach does.
